Atlantic Consulting, Incorporated (ACI) is a full-service vertical transportation consulting firm with a particular focus on extending the service life of existing elevators and their related building systems.

We organized in 1993 with the specific purpose of supporting facility owners and managers. Due diligence evaluations, asset surveys, elevator condition and maintenance assessments, and capital repair and replacement studies are the heart of our work.

Our staff consists of certified professionals with over 150 total years of experience covering virtually all aspects of the vertical transportation industry. ACI’s focus is on the built environment - assessment, repair, modernization, and restoration of existing elevators.

ACI has performed hundreds of condition assessments, due diligence engineering evaluations, and reserve studies. We have also developed modernization, repair, and preventive maintenance plans on a variety of institutional, commercial, and multi-unit residential buildings across the country.

ACI is respected in the technical community and has a history of successful project completion and expert facility asset management. We develop close relationships with our clients to ensure understanding and confidence in evaluations and planning.

ACI has taken the industry lead in green consulting. We recognize the importance of environmental responsiblity and have taken the lead in doing something about it. Our opinions of costs are based on years of experience in obtaining actual construction bids and overseeing repair and restoration projects on a wide variety of building systems. As a member of the District of Columbia Elevator Code Committee, ACI assists the District with adoption of code requirements and interpretation of existing codes.
